Did I not think clear Or for that, did you, Sudden thoughts excused us To desperate words. Neither were two souls ready To company part To kiss a last goodbye On lips that turned cold. Cold from thoughts of loneliness Of nights holding scrapes of memories Distant lines that excuse us And of meanings that we need. To ponder futures we wish Those simple pleasures in life Of days doing chores and work The nights private times. Of your children that I feel To see your peacefull face Once more to the dance To take your hands embrace. |
