For you, I'll paint a rainbow.... to splash across the sky.... I'll paint you birds of Paradise.... to watch them as they fly.... And then I'll paint an ocean.... complete with jumping fish.... I'll paint you anything you like.... Yes, anything you wish.... May I paint your face on? For you, a great BIG smile! and eyes all filled with laughter.... like when you were a child.... Your hair can be the color.... of anything you choose.... I know that you like purple.... or maybe even blue.... I'll paint your lips like rubies.... Awaiting your first kiss.... Then I'll stand back and make sure that there's nothing I have missed.... I'll paint the world around you.... in hues of softest light.... and then I'll paint your night sky.... with stars all twinkling bright.... I'm really not a painter.... But if I had a chance.... I'd paint the sweetest melody.... then maybe we could dance.... For you I'll paint a rainbow.... A sun to always shine.... And now your world is fresh and new.... Perhaps you will paint mine?? This is an absolutely beautiful poem Sunny1 "I'll paint your lips like rubies.... Awaiting your first kiss...." I loved that part. Great poem |
