extending his hand down to help her he gently pulled her up the last of the steep slope to stand near him and gaze at the view the wind teased the grasses back and forth ruffling the girl's long honey-coloured tresses she vainly tried to contain them in one hand a smile flickering across her lips like a sunrise after a dark, stormy night sliding his arm around her, he held her tight reassuring her with his presence that all would be right someday no more hiding their love from the world no more denying their heart's desire this his promise soon, my love, soon looking again over the hills and slopes the Highlands of Scotland called to them in wanton abandon to run free as the deer that graze there to fly like the birds that call this home to live unbound and unfettered by life's constraints and duties this his reply not yet, my love, not yet oh time was so unfair! it never slowed not even for lovers their time today was over too soon much too soon she turned to leave after a gentle kiss on his cheek and whispered words of love she made her way down the steep slope to the village below while he waited watching making sure she was safe then he crossed the hill and slipped down the hidden trail there to reach the village before her so he could open his shop doors wide and welcome his customers with a smile while she slipped back home to her waiting husband and stoically faced another long evening with a man who loved her not < !signature--> "Our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything." --William Shakespeare [This message has been edited by X Angel (edited 07-12-2000).] |

Hi XAngel I would really like to see this turned into a continuing story. You write so well like this. I was disappointed when I reached the end and there wasn't anymore. *I guess thats why they call it the end. LOL* Seriously...have you considered it? MagnoliaBlue ~My Skipper Jim I love you! Martini...thank you Magnolia....Thanks for your kind reply! I have thought about finishing these poems up, but they never seem to *want* to be finished...maybe it is the unfinished state of my heart that makes these poems refuse to have an ending... I dunno! I will *try* harder to finish them for all you people who want the "END" ~Heather |

Hi again... I am sorry for the misunderstanding...I don't want it to end ...I want it to continue... as in a story. You are great at writing...the stories would be great! MagnoliaBlue ~My Skipper Jim I love you! Your Lady June~ |
