I stood upon the hilltop Tears rolling down once rosy cheeks All the day i stood As a statue ground down by time and rain And my tears fell on stony ground And the ground became lush and verdant yet i carried on crying for iwas lost to the world I cried for the love i had lost in the rain For my parents whose weak hearts could not sustain As i cried a great forest rose up around me Yet i did not see for my eyes stung With the salt of loss in my tears For a dead world with no love for me For the hopes drowned in raging sea And the plants grew strong on my tears Yet My mind knew only the pain i feel Tears for the friends who turned their backs on me Tears for the young boy who died a son to me Still the tears rolled down my cheeks And around me grew a salty sea Yet I did not care for my home no longer wanted me I did not Know I did not care And so i drowned In my tears That were a sea Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen, and down the mountain side The summer's gone, and all the roses falling 'Tis |

Walter...... As I read this, I feel such great pain..... "..I drowned in my tears that were a sea.." Beautifully written....heartfelt.... Life is but a dream... so sleep easy... |
