Sing of your Glory Days

Sing of your glory days,  unfullfilled dreams
Tell tales of ventures and opportune schemes
Then sit at the table surrounded by love
This is truly what you should be proudest of

Go to the picnic and brag of your past
Great things that happened and went by too fast
Then grab your young child and go for a swim
The true life your living is really in him

Don’t get caught up in fantasies, it is too late
Don’t think of what may or may not be your fate
The present is full of more dreams than before
And they all seem to gather at your kitchen door

The riches you wished for are all within sight
Sitting around the dinner table tonight
They bring you such pleasure without any schemes
And they are the answers to all of your dreams

Hang on to each moment without one regret
Your child’s tender years you will never forget
The time that you’ve struggled, don’t ever condemn
The best part of your life are these moments with them

Keep your priorities ever in sight
Then give each one a kiss and tell them good night

Liz,
Such wonderful sentiments expressed... I wonder where you get the constant energy to come up with such beauties....

In amazement of your persona,
I offer you my regards,
Sudhir
