someone who can be tender and caring
who can be passionate and wild
someone who reads french poetry
and takes time to play with a child

someone who I can lean on for support
yet someone in need of support too
someone who absolutely adores me
and someone whose love is so true

someone who feels music in his soul
who can admit he has real fears
someone who takes the time to see me
who is not afraid to cry real tears

someone who believes in romance
who can discover the treasures of my heart
someone who wants to encourage our love
who is tortured while we are apart

someone who can laugh at life's trials
whose heart is gentle and kind
someone who can forgive my wrongs
and wants to know the secrets of my mind

someone who lays down to sleep at night
with a strong, soft shoulder to cradle me
someone who is my soul mate for life
who lets me fly so high and free

"Our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything."

heather - what about kicking kitties??? Did you accidently leave that part out???  This is a very sweet poem, pure feminine through and through.  naturally, I am all these things for lil Lorelei *nodding selfassuredly* - just ask her *sweating profusely at the thought of lil Heather taking up my dare*

Heather - I think you found a real sweetie in 'Deer.  Be sure you give him your phone number.

psst, 'Deer, after you woo Heather and then dump her, will you pass along her phone number to me???

I once met a man who had all of these traits,
I found him at 7-11.
He was there on the shelf, just waiting for dates
and promising all the girls heaven.
So, I soon decided to lay down my bread
and buy him before the inflation.
I then brought him home in a brown paper bag --
Oh what a Convenient relation!

I studied the packaging, reviewed the stats
all printed in the advertising.
And then when I let the man out of the box
I found out some things so surprising!
He wasn't the same man I thought I had bought -
the ads for him were quite deceiving.
And although I bought him at such a small price,
his marketing had me believing!

So, I tried to take him right back to the store
and get a refund for my trouble.
You know what the clerk said when I took him back?
Well, he laughed and then he charged me double!
Well, ever since then,I made up my mind,
my career needed somewhat revising.
And so I decided to go back to school...

and now I work in ADVERTISING!

        *wink*

Whoops... forgot to say.... LOVED your poem, Heather... hehe... I'm so sorry... sometimes I get inspired and carried away...
