TEARS OF LIFE ...

Tears of life, from sadness or joy do come;
Emotion's rain falls hard, but cleanses pure.
Drops of my spirit plummet to their peril;
Water of my body gives back its salt to Earth.

For want of nothing more than loves of my life;
Take of my tears to quench soul's drought.
For need of nothing less than a life of love;
Make of my tears, love's bath to sustain.

Running streams of joy fill my heart;
From you comes strong currents of contentment.
Overflowing banks of inspiration fill my mind;
From you comes a fluid effluence of ideas.

Protection from flooding waters of bitterness;
Your sweet love to keep and hold as dam's blockade.
Preservation from stagnant pools of monotony;
Your effervescent spirit to replenish, spring fresh.

Tears of my life, dry not in midday sun;
Fall where love's thirst be quenched at last.
Loves of my life, let me sip at your fountain;
Liquid stream of blessings to drink so vast.
