At times my days are very hard.
The problems never stop.
The world bears down relentlessly
Until I want to drop.
Frustration makes my muscles ache.
I don't know what to do.
I'm very close to giving up.....

and then I think of you.

I think of you and every problem
Disappears from sight.
No matter what the day may bring
It all will work out right.
Your image in my mind is all
I need to get me through.
My greatest weapon is the strength
I get from loving you.

I think of love at times as something
I cannot achieve
And feel that it's a fairy tale
That I dare not believe.
I think that I will live alone
By chance, if not by choice.
Love is a door that's closed to me...

and then I hear your voice.

I hear your voice and everything
I've heard of love is true.
I know that it is possible
For me because of you.
Your voice is my reminder that
Dreams really do come true.
My happiness is there thanks to
The joy of loving you.

Or, at the end of my long day,
When I can take no more
And barely have the strength in me
To open up the door
I know that finding happiness
Is just a hopeless case
Reserved for others - not for me....

and then I see your face.

I see your face and all is well.
I know I will survive.
I know that there's a God - there must be
If you are alive.
I think of you - I hear your voice
I see your face and then
I revel in the happiness
Of loving you again.

Beautiful and tender thoughts. What a wonderful space to be in when the weight of the world is bearing down.

"and then I think of you.
and then I hear your voice
and then I see your face."

"I revel in the happiness
of loving you again."

Great work! Ain't love grand.........

Oh MM!  I stay gone for awhile & this is the first piece I read! Man, you haven't lost the touch.  The ability to melt me with words & remind me of the magic of love.  You truly are the best.

Isn't it amazing how we can be instantly healed by another person?  How we can just forget our problems by looking into a loved ones eyes? That is truly the stuff that life is made of. I can't count how many times I have felt this way.  You expressed it beautifully.

Oh wow... this is one of the most beautiful love poems I've read. It isn't about some distant dream, it's about something real and beautiful, the best kind of romance. Believe me, LoveBugs know these things!

How I'd love to hear the voice that's heaven to my ears
Or see the face so dear that joy's the source of any tears
But memories sustain me and I hope that some fine day
The reason for my drawing breath will walk again this way.

Beautiful poem, Balladeer!

Yeah! Balladeer, the ace, does a twist
Instead of supreme ballad or sparkling wit,
With a romantic rendering, he makes all lovelies swoon,
Charming with an emotional voice, leads them to the moon.

....

very well done, sir Balladeer...

hmmmppphhh - writing pretty poems... making the women swoon... hmmppphhhh...  incidently, I really like the way you transitioned from verse to verse; but, hmmmpppphhhh... writing pretty poetry that makes the women swoon.... sure I'm jealous!!!  I also like the format, and the way everything flows.  This is another great poem, 'Deer.

What a pretty poem.
It seems that you know how to stir the heart.
Mine is stirred.
Would have to agree that perhaps you should do more of this romancing.
It is lovely, I think.

I think of you - I hear your voice
I see your face and then
I revel in the happiness
Of loving you again.

Ah Balladeer...loved it!!
reminds me of  this one of mine
I will share with you although
the tenderness in yours  is so much more evident...

Every Moment of You

It's a power that pulls me

whenever you're near
It escapes in your words
in your whispers I hear
From your soothing voice
to my waiting ears
Every moment of you
makes me wish, you were here.

It's the look in your eyes

that take from me, steal
All the love in my heart
all the warmth that I feel
All the touches of sunshine
that you give me each morn
Every moment of you
means a new day is born.

It's the tender you show me

when touched in the dark
As desires are rising
from one tiny spark
Feel the warm pulse of spirit
holding close in my heart
Every moment of you
means less moments apart.

It's the kisses you give me

your lips tasting mine
On the days that it's cloudy
you make the sun shine

It's the dreams "of together"

the melody of love
Every moment of you
is a gift from above.
