DEJA VU

A single thought - a splintered hope.
A notion sought beyond all scope
Of idle dreams or vapid eyes
Of Time, sure seems procured in lies.

By arms embraced, that glimpse of trust
Stood, now, defaced by look of lust.
In silent wake, that fitful shame
Forever pent upon the name.

That chimera of Conquered Bliss.
That caprice of the bleak abyss.
That fancied frolic of a day
That on faery's wings flies away.

To leave but cold Reality
To grieve this old memory in me,
Or spin shadow to silhouette
That in Darkness I may forget.

And so I cling to penance, shorn,
Abide the sting of love turned scorn;
Yet pray the venue of release
Is cause enough to grant her peace.

Reticence lost, mimicry gained,
By all accosted feeling, feigned!
Truth, encumbered about the need,
By days, numbered, yet waits to bleed.

Michael Anderson

But dreams-of those who dream as I,
Aspirinly, are damned, and die

I'm in "M, heaven" this morn ...
two poems to read ...(just left Voices)
you always satisfy my craving for rhyme
and in case you ever doubt it
even for a minute ...
I will second sens words ...
you are treasured here and missed ..

words can't express the beauty of this poem only stunned silence

You are a master of words...a true poet (I think I said that somewhere else). Wish I could vote for this one!

Hi Michael,

I agree with Beth, SPEECHLESS besides you used all the good words.
