Melody Of My Heart
~*Marge Tindal*~

Melody of my heart
play me a simple song
One that takes me back
to his arms where I belong

An oldie from the past
that just won't go away
Croon for me a simple tune
as he sang for me that day

Tickle for me the ivory
as he played me from the start
Cradle me on music's shoulder
draw the bow across my heart

Pluck the strings of memory
within the chambers of my soul
Play for me a simple song
that ever will grow old

Tympani touch now rising
Crescendo met with grace
Conduct for me a symphony
to ever-stir this place

Blow me low
in tones of blue
Infuse me with
melodic hue

Expel harmonic tunes
cradled in tender hands
Play for me a melody
Strike up the band !

Ah Marge, you make me wanna dance all night!  Your words are always music to my heart.  Oh, you have a powerful gift...the ability to transport people to a more melodic and peaceful place.

Marge, your poetry always sings to my heart.  I loved the magical flow of this!  I feel that this should be a book submission, it's so well written.  But, then again, I've come to expect no less from a gem like you

Take care,

For sharing all your lovely words,
I will play for thee a song
it may not be the sound of birds
but of my heart it did belong

What lovely compliments you pay me -
when all I do is pen the songs my heart sings.  Thank you.

Melissa
Thank you, honey.
Perhaps another book - another time.

Just wonderful Marge. . .

Reminds me of a series that I did back in Open #6 and Dark #1 (4 of them I think) all with this opening line. . .

Excellent. . .

Not that long ago Marge you had me dancing, now you have me singing.   Great work!
