You swore to me that we would be forever side by side. But you moved on and the laughter is gone. I realize you lied. Empty words, that's what I heard. Never meant to last. At night I cry, haunted by a ghost from my past. In the public eye I must lie and say I feel no pain. People look at me. Are those tears they see? No...it's just the rain. --You can either take me as I am...or you can watch me as I go.-- |

The tears like the rain, must yield to the sun, and in their wake, the rainbow will be reflected in your eyes. Jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

You all are too kind! I am not in any sort of pain...not at the moment anyway. This is simply a poem that came to mind. But it is so nice to know that when I am in pain I have a wonderful support group right here on the web. Everyone here is so wonderful!! --You can either take me as I am...or you can watch me as I go.-- |

This is very sad. I liked the ending. We never want our pain to show. |

Wonderful poem... I think we all write because in the open world we do have to mask our pain. Loved it |

Just wonderful writing...I believe it is fine to let those tears flow...why hide them...we all hurt sometime...James |
