Every Giver Needs A Taker
~*Marge Tindal*~

Let me love you tenderly
beneath the pale moonlight
Hold you until the dawn breaks
after a loving night

Let me listen to you
as the story of your life unfolds
Sharing all your dreams
helping you realize your goals

Let me be your partner
in front of the crowd
Cheering you to victory
standing oh, so proud

Let me rub your shoulders
at the end of a weary day
Feed you your favorite meal
Kneel with you to pray

Every giver needs a taker
This is who I choose to be
Giving you my love
knowing you treat it tenderly

Marge~

The receiver of this precious gift will have riches beyond compare my friend.  Wonderful writing!!  I think you've said it all.

Marge*
This is beautifully said...I love the idea
and the weave was as graceful as ever...it's
not so bad to be the giver when you put it
this way!

Martie~
Being a giver just comes so easily.
Thank you, my friend.

LoneWolf~
Thanks, hon.
I'm sure you noticed that giver
and taker have no gender restrictions.
It's whatever fits best.
I like to think the 'gift' is in the giving.
You're a sweetie.

ButterfliesDC~
Being a giver has rewards that are far beyond measure.
Being a taker has pleasures likewise.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments.

Every giver needs a taker
That's the only way to go
Every bisquit needs a baker
Or it's only so much dough.

Every oat must have a Quaker
Or a breakfast is so-so
Every salt needs its own shaker
If it wants to have the flow.

Every lawn must have a raker
Or it doesn't look too well
Every sleeper needs a waker
Or he'll never hear the bell.

Every human needs a Maker
He can pray to every nigh
Every giver needs a taker
Marge, you said it all just right!

Beautiful sentiments.  I agree completely, that is how true love should be.  What a giver of perfect poetry you are, which I am proud to say that I am a willing taker, I admire you

Take care,

Balladeer~

Each poem needs a read
and you sure fill the need !
Every nut needs a shell
and you wear yours so well !

*Now ... about that 'raker' position -
send resume quickly !
Oh, and I'd like the grass a little lower
if you could bring your mower !

Melissa~
What a genuinely sweet, sweet reply.
*Hugs* from my heart to yours.

Marge, I'll gladly take a poem like this! In turn, I'll be the giver when I post my next poem (whenever that will be!).

Marge you are beautiful and so is your poem   Loved it!

Yes, I am here, but I am dead, not alive,
my body goes on, my spirit has died
and I though alive, feel dead inside.

Marge.....

You're so right....there cannot be giving without taking, and we all choose which to be, I think.  I loved your work, and the feelings of mutual sharing spoke to
me.........looking forward to more.......

I live to give and find myself richer in the offering.

You have to give love before it comes back to you...even if you start out giving these few words...love started for me with a reply to a post...amazing isnt it?
