You can't replace what's already lost,
It's learning and pain,
It has no cost.

There's really no point in looking back,
It all hurts,
To see what we all lack.

Don't think of all your pain,
Think memories,
The knowledge you gain.

Try to keep you head up high,
And remember,
There's no point in the tears you cry.

It all makes you strong,
Even if sometimes,
You don't know where you belong.

There's always going to be hurt like this,
Think of new relationships,
That first special kiss.

Absolutely the way to go.  Wonderfully put and a message to take to heart.  Loved it.

Yep, words of wisdom here.  Only thing the past serves is to teach us lessons (hopefully) and to leave us with some good memories, otherwise, march on, march on.

Ahhh, I sigh, and ponder, how can you say so much, with so little. Great, and thanks for sharing.

Beth,

Move onward and hold your head high.  There is one out there for you.

Nice writing!!

The mists of time .

The past,
At last,
It fades into mist,
Helps me forget,
Just why I exist,
When I forget,
What has happened before,
I hear this load knocking,
Upon the thick door,
Like salesman apear,
New sufering and fear,
They stick in my mind,
Like the saddness I hide,
This trouble,
I fear,
No difference than then,
Back in the distance,
The memories back when ....

I really enjoyed the poem - so much so that I wrote what the same feeling would be like from a negative view point as this is the way my brain works as I am a manic pesamist .
I am going to post this poem up as a new topic some time .
I loved it .
