WHAT I'M FEELING

You ask me what I'm feeling -
This question shouldn't seem so tough.
I could tell you that "I love you",
But that would never be enough.
I've known nothing more appealing,
Guess it still takes me by surprise.
Never knew love this pure, this true,
Till I looked into your eyes.

I don't think I could put to word
The joy found within your touch.
Feeling you breathing next to me,
Just how you've come to mean so much.
By every promise, half-heard,
If made unto a dreaming mind -
How the touch of you completes me
In this state Fate intertwined.

But how do I set a label
On what God's given me in you,
The way you reach into my soul,
The way you touch me like you do?
When with all that I am able,
When, with all I hold within...
My life was but an empty hole
Until the day I let you in.

Now you're the air that I'm breathing
And you're the sun of my dawn.
You're everything in life prayed for,
You're every star I've wished upon.
And there's no greater feeling
Then "feeling" your dreams come true.
In the arms of love you so adore,
I'm so blessed to have in you.

So when you ask what I am feeling,
I know it shouldn't seem so tough.
But if I tell you "I love you",
Know it would never be enough...

How well I know the feeling
Of leaving things unsaid;
Emotions leave me reeling,
My gift for speaking fled
Before the welcome deluge:
For what your love has stirred
In me can find no refuge
In simple written words.

When the words have run out, the rest is told in love.

I read that somewhere, once.  I think they may have been on to something ...

Love you.

Eloise, So glad to get a "wow" out of you...

James, ditto that - and wishing everyone else the same...

Jefferey, Indeed, it does.  Hoping to be around a little longer this time, myself.

Irish Rose, 'tis full of love, indeed.

Janet, that's the most wonderful thing I've found - when love is given equally and unconditionally, you never have to worry about it being enough - it ALWAYS is enough.

Kess, what an absolute blessing you have been on my life.  "When the words have run out, the rest is told in love" - 'Tis true me thinks... I've told you many many times, action speak volumes for what a person feels.  I see your love in every little thing you do mi-Lady.  What more joy could possibly await me?

Marge, sincerest thanks...

Corinne, and lovely it is...

Nan, a wee bit chipper maybe... LOL

Gemini, glad you enjoyed...

PdV, I am still stunned myself - I guess love can have that effect on people, eh?

Alicat, haven't seen you in awhile, my friend.  How are you doing? - oh, and TY...

serenity, I think you're right about the eyes, (wide with wonder, indeed, if having cried many tears of expansive joy). I will try to stay closer to the forums this time through, k?     I miss all of you guys way too much not to me thinks...

Thank you all for the kind replies...

pen such a masterpiece.  This is what I am searching for.  Nice to know that it truely does exist.  Great read and the flow is perfection.
