Sometimes life even causes the best of friends to drift apart a bit...but never too far. My North Star By Kelly S. McDonald You my sweet friend are like a star Sometimes you’re not there, but really you are I can’t see you or hear you, yet you are there Sending thoughts of love, and sprinkles of care At times you aren’t ready to shine from above I get discouraged as I wait for your love But “Waiting for what?” is what you would say Your love was there with me all of the way I search for an answer within my heart I come up empty and then the tears start I don’t know why, your love I did miss A tear gently rolls, my cheek it does kiss This feeling I get, I cannot explain It rolls just like thunder and falls like the rain All of the time, I’d like to be strong So this feeling I get wouldn’t last long I need you it’s true, when I am so blue Do you know when I’m happy, I need you too? I know you are always here in your heart And nothing can tear our friendship apart But like the bright stars up in the dark sky There’s one a bit brighter to the naked eye That star in my life, is you, you see Giving me direction, caring for me Although you are with me always in spirit Sometimes the word of your love, I just need to hear it By now you must know what it is that you are You’re my best friend; you’re my North Star < !signature--> ~Kellsue Reflect upon your present blessings-of which every man has many-not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. ~Charles Dickens We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. ~Winston Churchill [This message has been edited by Kellsue (edited 07-02-2000).] |

I know you are always here in your heart And nothing can tear our friendship apart But like the bright stars up in the dark sky There’s one a bit brighter to the naked eye That star in my life, is you, you see Giving me direction, caring for me can certaintly relate to this. One of my best friends is in Australia at the moment and yet I can feel her by my side. a wonderful poem. I found this wonderful poem to be very touching. There is nothing like the love of a close friend. That's where real happiness seems to stem from, the closeness, the bonding, the always being there for one another. |

It is wonderful to have such a friend! God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |
