Sven, Nice job my friend. Love all of your new forms. Wonderful writing!! LW Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility. --William Wordsworth |

Hello!! The word "alliteration" comes from the Latin, meaning "Letters next to each other." Alliteration is the repetition of stressed, intial sounds of words. These repeated sounds are usually made by consonants. (Or in the case of this poem by 2 consonants.) Alliteration is like rhyme, but where rhyme's repeated sound consists of at least one syllable, alliteration requires only the repetition of a UNIT of sound, the sound of a single letter. Hope that you're learning a lot!! ------------------------------------------------------ That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
