ALWAYS TOMORROW ~This poem was written by my boyfriend D, who gathered these thoughts in jail~ There's a light at the end of the darkest roads And a rainbow in the grayest of skies But to find the destiny behind all your woes, You first must open your eyes In my life, there's been countless mistakes I have made And I regret that it's too late to change each one But day after day the bad memories fade So I look toward the moments to come Though the battlefield scars still remain deep within The courage for war is still here It will take more than they have to make me give in Because I refuse to let myself live in fear God did not place me here in order to fail, He did not place me here, expecting me to just wander So they can put me through hell, they can throw me in jail It won't kill me, but it will make me stronger So now I look around, at the generations younger And I recognize the problems they engage I just hope they hear the music, instead of the thunder That I heard when I was their age To those young and frustrated, keep your heads up Remember where there's joy, you'll often find sorrow And when times get tough and you get fed up Remember that there's always tomorrow |

I must say that the "thoughts from jail" part is what caught my eye. Your boyfriend has some real talent. I hope things are good with you two now. And i definately hope that whatever it was that put him there before...won't put him there again. Best of luck to you both. Love Always ~*~Jessica~*~ ~*~Why is it that love always starts with a hug, grows with a kiss, and ends with a tear?~*~ |
