You said that you’re my lover, That you will never die, You told me that you’re invincible, How could I believe a lie? You said that you’re a star, Shining brightly in the sky, You told me that you’re my angel, I know I shouldn’t question why. You said that you’re my only, You’ll be there to the end, You told me that you’re my sweetest dream, A helping hand you’ll always lend. You said that you were forever, That you would never die, You told me you were invincible, And I believed your lie. Now you’re gone like a robber in the night, Stealing my heart and my passion in one, How do I live, how do I go on, Knowing that your time is done. Now they only place I can go, To remember the good times and even the bad, Is a place so lonely, cold and gray, A place I wish you never had. On you grave I stand, Praying to the sky, Whispering my question, Why did you have to die? |

Oh AngelShell, this so beautifully written and so terribly sad. I'm so sorry for your loss ... you've expressed your heartfelt emotions well in this verse. Best wishes, /Kit |
