It's odd...everyone always talk about wanting to "fall in love". That's not even the good part...that's the test. The good part is your reward...the everlasting comfort of being loved and befriended by that one soul that you need to breathe. < !signature-->All Our Lives All our lives, we'll be in love. For now we're still so young. Ever changing buds of life, with so much left undone. All our lives, we'll be as one; bonded through the storms of growing old in a world that longs to see us torn. All our lives, in eachother's eyes, we'll gaze in awe and see the wonderful things we know that no one else could be. In countless moons, when we're aged and battle scarred all over you'll help me to bed at night and share with me your cover. In those years, when we're old and pray our lives we keep, I'll kiss your cheek, when we're alone and then sing you to sleep. We've not drank from the fountain that keeps our hair or flesh free from showing signs of what our bodies now have left. Yet our hearts and our love will forever be revived by the youthful wonder of love that's been there all our lives. Jeremy D. Halstead 7/15/00 "Time is the matter, and in a matter of that all wounds will heal and all scars shall fade." [This message has been edited by Jeremy Halstead (edited 07-15-2000).] |

This is a beautiful poem Jeremy, you hit the nail on the head! Once again, a masterpiece you have writtin, a wonderful gift God has givin' Keep up the good writing Waves...amazing hey? Wind blowing over smoothe ocean water creates shear. The longer the wind blows, and the futher the fetch, the more energy gets transferred from the wind to the water. What started off as a breeze 1 000km away, ends up as a glass-faced barrel at some far off beach. |

Jeremy I loved this one It was great excellent writing.... I so agree with you, falling in love is just the test, it's the rest of your life with that one person you love that is the good part.... It's being in love unconditionally not falling in love that's wonderful!! Great work |

This one hits close to home. Loved every line. It tells the story of what I hope my life will be. Great job. Thomas A. Plemmons "I could have missed the pain But I'd of had to miss The Dance" -Garth Brooks- |

Hey Jeremy, sorry I haven't been around lately! But this is the first poem I read when I finally came back to our cozy little forum, and may I say wow?!? I really don't know what to say - you just have a very captivating way with words. I think what I like best about this poem is that it really describes something I myself and a lot of other people hope to find someday, and it makes love and spending ur life with someone sound so incredibly beautiful (which is exactly how it's supposed to be). GREAT job! Love and Hugs Kristin ~*All that I have found in reason is reason just to not believe *~ ~*Things you see the way you see them will never be seen again*~ |

Well Jer, I allways end up reading these things when I am dead tired. And you know what kind of sapp I am when I am tired. This poem really brought tears to my eyes. I'm just so afraid of never having this feeling, or being able to experience love. It seems that I often give it away so freely and never see it returned. I just hope I don't run out. Well I'm going to stop now before I start babbling. I'll see you later man. jason ![]() |
