It's funny...When times were rough and lonely, I always used to cry. I honestly don't remember the last time I did. This would be one of those moments, but I'm not. I Haven't Cried Tonight There hours in my days when I never speak a word. I weep a sea pain. That's never even heard. In mind my, in front of you, I've broken down to die. With each and every breath you hear, you've yet to hear me cry. Love affairs with the bliss of letting oceans go are something of the past for me that I don't even know. One upon a time so far, I always soaked my cheeks. Emotions built and burst their way, but now don't even leak. At this moment, as I type, my heart is in a fight. Even though, I know I'll lose... I haven't cried tonight. Jeremy D. Halstead 7/13/00 [This message has been edited by Jeremy Halstead (edited 07-13-2000).] |

Oh Jeremy ... so many thoughts and feelings in this wonderful verse. Crying is such a natural emotion and action, and you sound as though you do miss that release you remember from times when you did. If or when the mood strikes ... shed the tears proudly! Wonderful poem Jeremy! ![]() Best wishes, /Kit |

You know what? I haven't cried in a long time myself. Yet, last night it started flowing, I was able to open up and cry, and as a result, I have come to an important life-altering decsision. Sometimes you just need to cry.... great work, I voted for you. Jenn |

A bone will never break in the same place twice. We need to break down every once in a while in order to become stronger people. Good work, and never become too much of a macho to cry. jason ![]() |

Excellent poem!! I went through a stage while I was in high school where I never cried. And then I went away to unniversity and my friends claim I became a softy, I now cry all the time. It's amazing how crying can make you feel so much better..... I hope all is well, and if you need to cry, you should! |

the theme to this one is one i know well, as well as being an often unsung one. very clever. it bleeds with defiance and hurt. i like it a lot. there was this girl i knew once. she tore me up you know, and i promised myself that i'd never give her the power to make me cry. i feel it. good work, sir. "Even though, I know I'll lose... I haven't cried tonight." This has to be my favorite from you, my friend. I hope you're able to cry again soon. Never be ashamed of the tears you shed, each one represents an honest emotion, which is nothing to be ashamed about. < !signature--> "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde "The robbed that smiles steals something from the thief" -Shakespea [This message has been edited by LoveBug (edited 07-13-2000).] |

This is a wonderful poem, once again Jeremy! I never cry (openly), cause I feel it shows the world I can't handle what it is throughing at me, but everyone here is right, it's good to cry. Waves...amazing hey? Wind blowing over smoothe ocean water creates shear. The longer the wind blows, and the futher the fetch, the more energy gets transferred from the wind to the water. What started off as a breeze 1 000km away, ends up as a glass-faced barrel at some far off beach. |

Jeremy, you truly are talented. Each poem of yours I read is better than the last (not that any of them are bad!) I sure do know about this one though. Ask Thomas. He'll tell you that I am the queen of crying! I even cry when nothing is wrong. Sometimes crying just gives you a feeling that everyting is O.K. and that everything will be O.K. Do not be ashamed, my friend. For I've even seen Thomas cry a few times (he he) ![]() "We are each of us angels with only one wing. I liked this one a lot. It's good that you can even talk about crying. Most guys refuse to admit they'd ever cry. I agree with everyone else here: Crying can be good!(Believe me, I'm the world's biggest baby sometimes!) Anyway, it was a very good poem and you have my vote! April |

Tears are the poetry of the soul, hol not them back, but let them freely flow. For even as love is born and dies, tears are alwayz there to cry. Wonderful poem, Jeremy. Thomas A. Plemmons "I could have missed the pain But I'd of had to miss The Dance" -Garth Brooks- |

Hey. Great poem. My favorite from you so far. Crying is a good way to release some of the emotion we keep inside. Congrats on not being too macho to admit that you cry and to even write about it..Keep up the good work. Steph |
