I know this is one of my more simpleton writings, but the story is very dear to me. For A Day Sliding by, month by month, over a year has passed. Barely making it through each day, memories are all that last. I'd fallen to depth below the lowest I could be. I then woke up just long enough to call her finally. The honey in her voice unchanged. Her her words still just as kind as the day so long ago that I'd left her far behind. As she granted my wish and allowed me to come and see her face, the ice that once had been my blood started again to race. My eyes could open and see the road. My heart could pound so free. Relief and excitement soaked right though my soul and agony. Minute by minute, mile by mile, I drove that road again. The angst was truly something I thought may never find it's end. But alas, the door was mine, and in her's I found a way to escape the world of solitude and smile just for a day. Jeremy D. She is still there, isn't she? You two were wonderful together, and I've never seen you happier. Sometimes the mistakes we make can never be undone. But, alas, we are but human. If she can still move and effect you this much, perhaps another try is in order? You'll never know unless you explore the possibility. Great poem by the way. didn't find it at all too simplistic. As alwayz, impressive work. I don't think there's one piece of yours that I haven't utterly enjoyed. You have true talent, and you continue to use it well. ~<3 Alwayz~ **Nikki** ~*~*~*~*"We can complain because roses have thorns, or we can rejoice because thorns have roses." *~*~*~*~ |

Loved the poem. this one brought up a lot of memories too! (If its about who I think it is) You two were great together. "We are each of us angels with only one wing. And we can fly only by embracing each other." -Luciano de Crescenzo- |

very smooth. i found the only thing simple about this was the rhythm, and that's always a very good thing! an easy flow on this one. with a very unsimple subject. the angst and love of the heart are age-old teen anthems that are constantly rewritten. and you have done so in style. i like this one a lot. you talent is impressive. We all got our demons. We all got somethin' to atone for. |
