it eludes those who wait for it it teases those who yearn when you least expect it its present you will earn once you have entered your imagination leads the way your fears dreams and thoughts are no longer kept at bay it recharges, and cleanses the body mind and soul and we need it every night if we are to grow old it pushes back insanity like laughter in a way it releaves stress and pain and keeps us sane day to day it can tell the future atleast for some people it can they can dream of an accident with such precision that they can find someone from the lisence plate of a van it is highly addictive withdrawlal is certain death many cannot live without it so on it depends your every breath it can be thicker than any fog and as heavy as lead or as light as mountain air and as heavy as the pillows on your bed what is it? always follow your heart, never follow others unless it is truely where you want to go, and never give up a dream, maybe just set it aside for a while... :) |

very well penned riddle. quite a rhythm it has and good analogies. i liked the ones at the end a lot. one word came to mind: sleep just a "stab in the dark". =) We all got our demons. We all got somethin' to atone for. |

Great poem, nice idea to write a riddle into a poem. I also think it is sleeping...how long are you going to keep us in suspence...tell us the answer!! Waves...amazing hey? Wind blowing over smoothe ocean water creates shear. The longer the wind blows, and the futher the fetch, the more energy gets transferred from the wind to the water. What started off as a breeze 1 000km away, ends up as a glass-faced barrel at some far off beach. |

That was really nice!! I don't know what the answer is, i first thought sleep and i saw other people say that too, So i will have to go with that one!!! If not that then Love was a good answer! |

hi guys wow, 15 responses! the most ive ever gotten before this is like 5! anyway, i think its interesting to see what people think the awnser to this riddle is, so im not gonna post the awnser on here... what i have done is emailed about the first 12 people telling them the awnser, but that got kinda repettive, so after you post a guess, email me and ill send you the awnser. thx everybody for all the replies!! This iz very clever and I applaud u on writing it. Awesome work!! As for the answer, "sleep" seems too obvious, although it looks like it would fit. I know I'm probably very wrong, but what about "time" or "writing"??
