laid awake at night, you asked me
what it is for me to live?
this was my answer to you:

For me to live is to hear you speak as i anxiously answer the phone.....

For me to live is to be safe....
is to embrace in your arms,
to feel your warm breath along the side of my face,
to feel you heart as i lay me head upon your chest.

For me to live is to be free....
is to be able to give all of me to you,
to feel your lips against mine as we startle the angels around us for such beauty we make.

for me to live is to enjoy live.....
is to wake up and hope you got safe home last night,
to get home wasted from the day...answer the phone and hear you tell me how much you've missed me, how you can't wait to see me.

for me to live is to be happy...
is to close my eyes at night and be sure you'll meet me at my dreams..

for me to live is to love you and be loved by you..

this poem is for someone i haven't met yet but will surely one day.. : )

Beautiful poem...great theme and you pulled it of wonderfully. I actually have a couple of poems with similar themes. One of them is called One Night and it's on the back pages. The other is called In the End. I've haven't posted that one yet, but I will soon. You should check um out and let me know what ya think.
