How Much You Mean To Me |

The only thing I regret Is that I wasn't there to say I never thanked you for what you did Each and every day. You were my confidant, My aunt, and my best friend, I could talk to you about anything And your ear you'd always lend. I remember the day you came over Our questions you came to answer, You whispered only one word And it just happened to be cancer. Now that you are gone, I hope you understand my plea, Please forgive me, for I didn't tell you How much you mean to me. You meant the world to me And now you are not here, But I will continue to love you And keep your spirit near. (i didn't wanna add the last verse, but oh well. i just ain't sure it went well... ) *...Remember your roots, my friend they're right down below, because heroes come and heroes go...* - Creed |

SugarPie~ We don't always know what to do or say when cancer strikes those we love - believe me, they know that better than we ever will. They make it easy for us to remember them as the confidant, like you remember your aunt. I'm sure she knew how much you loved her. Keep her spirit in your thoughts - that's why she's there. Beautifully and sensitively written. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

this was touching. a true poem of emotion. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

That is such a touching tribute. Cancer sucks, eh? Your aunt would've loved it. Sorry that you lost her. ~*Skyfire "I am Canadian" - Joe If you set limitations upon yourself, it's no wonder you fall short of your dreams - Rhonda J. Adolph |

~sugarpie313~: This is a truely touching poem. Your Aunt would have been quite happy for someone to write a sentimental poem such as this in her tribute. Well done. ~AF~ "Poetry is the language in which man explores his own amazement." Christopher Fry |

I'm very sorry that you lost your aunt...but I'm sure that she knew how much you love her, because when you have such strong emotions the other person knows. Your poem was beautiful...it's a really nice tribute to your aunt and your relationship with her. |
