You were there when I was down and out,
Appreciated it is, without a doubt.
I wouldn't have made it if you weren't there,
Your love saved me from death by a hair.

You are my parents, you brought me here,
To this world and held me near.
You taught me what I need to know,
As from your nest, I soon go.

I know one day goodby we must say,
I also know I'll see you again someday.
For any goodbye is not the end,
Just another road, with another bend.

I love you so much, there's no way to describe,
The feeling of loss when by your rules I don't abide.
I love you so much, awesome parents you are,
With past events, let's not our relationship mar.

**To my parents, Gil & Donna Adolph. They helped me so much when I was dealing with depression a few weeks ago. 'I love you guys so much, and I couldn't have done it without you!'

This is touching. It's nice to see that you have such a strong relationship with your parents. Hope to see more from you!

I agree with acire. Let them know how much it meant to you.I don't think any parents hear it enough.

The flow was perfect in this poem. And it's really good that you have such a strong relationship with your parents because they are the ones who will always be there for you.

What a wonderful tribute to your parents Skyfire!  No matter how many "bends" in the road ... family is what keeps us strong. You are so very fortunate to have this type of close relationship. I hope you were able to share this with them!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Awww. This is really sweet. I know what you went threw.  Been there, done that. Your parents are the most special people you'll ever have in your life.  I liked this poem a lot.

That's awesome that you can count on your parents!  Great job of expressing this in your poem
