If only life was perfect,
we'd all have a blast.
No one would be sorry,
and love would always last.

Families would stay together,
not separating, no divorce.
Friends wouldn't be torn apart,.
not be one single force.

If only life was perfect,
my grandma would still be here.
And there would be no dying,
cuz that always brings a tear.

Everyone would be happy,
no one would shed a tear.
There would be nothing like,.
drugs, violence, or beer.

If only life was perfect,
AIDS would never be.
Things like that just wouldn't live,
I wish that was up to me.

The grass would grow greener,
right on your side,
You'd never have fear,
You'd never have to hide.

If only life was perfect,
Trouble? What is that?
There would be no yelling,
and dogs wouldn't chase cats.

We'd all live in harmony,
no work, all play, that's it!
Nothing would go wrong,
not even a little bit.

If only life was perfect,
it'd be great it seems.
It fades away so fast cuz,
oh' i's just a dream!

Gee, glad I stopped in here today! I like this a lot. Reminds me of 'Imagine' by John Lennon...one of my favorite songs.

WOW WOW WOW yes if only life was perfect my true love would still be here and everyone i ever loved would still be near yes if only life was perfect. enjoyed this very much i offened have dreams like this and i'm happy then i wake up and the pain starts again.

I enjoyed this poem alot. It creates a dreamlike image of a utpoia that we could only hope would one day exist. I think that every so often, there is a poet that happens to write a poem that touches on the idea of a utpoia. Now, not all of these poems are good - your poem just happens to be an exception. Very well done.

you have painted a very nice dream world. i don't know about that no beer thing..... but these are very well penned thoughts. you have style in your writing. keep up the good werk.
