Up in the mountains in the NFC

I thought I lost you so I tried to move on
You know I still love you even though you are gone
But I can’t sit here, lonely, waiting for you
You’re with another so I don’t have to stay true
So I found someone new, someone sweet and kind
Someone who cares about me, and wants to be mine
Life began to look up, if I only had a clue
The next time that phone rang, it would be you

I can’t have you here
Messing up a good thing
Can’t believe how much my life changed
When I heard that phone ring

Coming back as just friends, but we both know the truth
And if our better halves did, they’d hit the roof
Cause I care about her, but I still love you
And you say you love him, but I’m on your mind too
This thing isn’t over between you and me
But this is hurting us both, can’t you see
We can’t be just friends, and we’re not ready to be together
Cause I can’t trust you, your mind changes like the weather

I can’t have you here
Messing up a good thing
Can’t believe how much my life changed
When I heard that phone ring

If you say you love him, then prove it to me
We aren’t just friends, and you don’t want more, so just leave me be
Can’t concentrate on her when you’re still in my head
Won’t hurt either of you, I’d rather be dead
It’s not fair for us to be so confused inside
Cause our feelings can’t be shared, have to run and hide
So let’s put away our pride and face the fear
I know in time we’ll be together, but for now I can’t have you here.

I think you explained this situation well, the feelings sound so real in your writing.  This seemed to be kinda in the form of a song, is this a song? Anyway, nice job

I didn't mean for it to be a song, I just thought that it would work out good to repeat that part, so I guess it is in the form of a song but unintentionally.

Thanks Dopey, it is a terrible thing to go through. Just wanted to get a little more feedback.
