As I sit here in poverty, And ponder my life’s worth I realize I am one of the wealthiest men alive There are two things that I can count on to be at my side You can’t count your wealth by possessions Cause we are all possessions of our lord And once you realize this and turn your life over Your wealth is endless and your life becomes whole But it’s hard to live life on faith alone You need someone there cause you get tired of being alone When you get tired from carrying the weight of the world You might need a shoulder to lean on And when this life hurts you and you’re ready to break down You will need a friend, someone there to be strong True friends will be there through the thick and the thin of it And once you have found them, the feeling you’ll never get rid of it Cause without friends your life is worth very little And without God your life is worth nothing at all These two things are worth more than their weight in gold And when you look back on your life when you have become old When it’s too late for second chances And no new advances, all that is left is to look back I know I will see my life happy and free Don’t have to worry about monetary poverty Cause I will have given my life to God And shared it with my friends And when it is time for the end I know where I will go And that makes me the richest man alive Well, I don't know why I have written like this the past two posts. I guess church has been paying off. I wish I was at the point I describe in this poem, but I am far from it. I'm a screwup, most of the time. I guess this is just my mind poured out realizing that this is where I could be. I don't know. Sorry if this bored you or you don't agree. At least it's something different. |

Your poem is really true. Its totally not money that makes you wealthy. This poem is so...so... I'm trying to find the right words but its a really really good poem. I like the friends part in the poem too. |

I think this is amazing and so true! I know for a fact that Jesus IS the best thing you could ever receive in your life. I think you can get to the place u talk of in your poem; remember that God is a forgiving God. He will forgive u everytime u screw up...because trust me, I've made my share of mistakes in my life. He has forgiven me everytime, and I've grown stronger with each mistake. Faith in God is such an amazing thing, and never be ashamed of it. Jesus is life! Keep writing whatever comes to your heart, those are the best poems! God Bless and Keep Smiling Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:3 |

This poem is excellent, I absolutly love and agree with the message here. I hope you can work to become what you want to be. Nice job on the poem "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Lakewalker http://www.thehungersite.com |

I think these kind of poems are very special but i dont know.....maybe they belong in SPIRITUAL poetry......the other forum. Some people actually find God offensive. Not i though, but anyway great poem! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |
