Up in the mountains in the NFC

I have had a great deal of problems come up in my life in the past few days, but thinking about it made me come up with this poem. I had to quit feeling sorry for myself. I hope it doesn't come across too preachy.

Tonight’s not over, but already I’m beat
Before the moon goes down it wants another defeat
As darkness came, so did my problems
Too many to handle, don’t think I can solve ‘em
All I ask for is just one break
I give and I give and I give and I take
All of the problems that this world has dealt
And all of the pain that I have felt
Drowned in a sea of my own sorrow
Look at my horizons, can’t even see tomorrow
I wish this was my last night of pain and guilt
Looking forward to nothing, all my hopes wilt
It seems to only get worse, all I see is red
But for every dark night, there’s a bright day ahead

It may not come tomorrow or the day after that
My problems won’t be solved right off the bat
God has put them here to teach me a lesson
So I’ll hold on for the ride and quit my stressin’
The path God put me on is hard and long
But what does not kill me will make me strong
I know I’ll come out a better man
So I’ll try to attack it the best I can
Only by his grace do I have this life
For him I’ll put up with the pain and strife
Cause for us he died upon the cross
In the scheme of things, mine’s a very small loss
Even though it betters me, these nights I dread
But I know, for every dark night, there’s a bright day ahead

WOW! I love the message you give us here. We may go through a lot of problems and pain, but if we have faith in God, there will always be a bright day for us! With all of the dark poetry in here, it's good to read something like this. Thank you so much for posting this!

Hey. This was sooo great, mind if I print it? I need a reminder that God's in control...and this was an incredible one.

Thank you all. I have been strungling with different things/people this week. Very confusing times for me. But I know that if I trust God then I will come through. Thanx to everyone for reading it, and Carly, if you feel that you want to print it, if you already haven't, I would be honored.
