Unique You were so unique The way you wore your hair The way you seemed to stand tall Like you didn't care That everyone would stare And make comments about your style The way you used to smile And laugh at all my jokes I remember the way you used to walk The fake accent you used when you talked The way you held my hand And made me understand That two people can be just friends But still have that love for each other I still have those flowers you sent About this time last year Hanging upside-down from my mirror Reminding me--that you're not here Waves of sadness wash over me each time Tears make my eyes glitter and shine You were so much more than just a friend Why? All these questions in my mind I never got to say good-bye or hold your hand--one more time Just like that...you were gone I was all alone I had never been without you before I had never even had those thoughts But the flowers that you bought Remind me that you're no longer here You were always so unique Red roses would never do Traditional things just weren't in you White flowers were what you sent And I knew exactly what they meant We had a love so pure How we got so lucky--of that, I am not sure But white Seemed to be...just right When we held each other tight Never reading more into the situation We were the perfect best friend combination And now that you're no longer here The biggest thing I fear Is that I will never again find The bond that was yours and mine But if that happens, I will be okay Even though you couldn't stay You taught me more than I'll ever realize I saw the world in your eyes And all the beauty that you possessed Everything that you were worth All the beauty on this earth For anything that can grow white flowers That will bring a smile to my face for eternity Is just the place I want to be Even though I can't be with you The wilted, white flowers lie on the ground The ones I brought over here yesterday On the way home from school I never used to pass by the cemetary "Do not marry the one that you can live with. Marry the one you cannot live without." |

Wow, this one, it's so good. I just love the way you wrote it, the emotion seems so sincere. Nicely done! "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Lakewalker http://www.thehungersite.com |

Wow... this is such a powerful and sad piece. It's a beautiful tribute to the relationship you had with this person. I can really feel your love for this person and the hurt you feel over losing them. I hope writing this helped you feel better. Thank you for sharing this with us. Best of luck! This was beautiful. I am sorry for your loss though. You expressed yourself really well. I hope that you are able to move on now that you got some of your pain out. People leave our lives as quickly as they come, but the ones that mean something leave footprints in our hearts. |

I echo the rest. I think this poem rocked! ![]() I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |
