Until now I didn't realize what life is about, Because I thought drugs and alcohol were my only way out. I was always at all the parties until the very end, With the people who I used to consider my good friends. And everytime I would go to church I would listen to what they would have to say, But never understood why I should have to pray. Maybe I should have listened to what my friends had said, How that if I didn't quit what I was doing that I might end up dead. It makes me sad knowing how my friends had to see me, Which wasn't the kind of person I really wanted to be. Whenever I had a problem I would drink and smoke a bowl, Even though I never did it to be cool. Now I see I have to live my life by god's plan, And I wan't to be the best person I can! You have expressed your life change in a very beautiful way. You are making the right choice. I give you credit for being so strong willed. After leading a life style such as yours (which I have) it can be very tough to try to correct it. Godspeed to you. Lucidity is the answer to all problems |

This is a difficult topic, but you've expressed your thoughts well Lauren. I consider you one of the lucky ones, it's not everyone who can view their life honestly and realize that they would like to change. Many continue in a life of abuse without ever realizing they had so many other paths and options. Awww, well im glad you came up from the smoking and drinking part in you life i once tryed when i was 13 but i did it to be cool it didnt work so well everyone went the opposite way of me. Well hey i like you poem its show lots of emotion. "i just love when you bring your whole crew because its just a bigger piece of cake for me to chew threw" |

Lauren, I'm so glad that you've changed. I've seen too many kids my age ruin their lives before they have even begun. I'm glad that you see God's plan for you. I am happy to hear that you are now on the right path. Drugs and drinking are bad for anyone but alot of people turn to it for help. Thanks for sharing this piece with us! People leave our lives as quickly as they come, but the ones that mean something leave footprints in our hearts. |
