~*~ He's Still Holding On ~*~

My life has dwindled down to nothing
In the beginning I had a reason
To go on like nothing was wrong
I’d found love, or so I thought
He broke my heart
But was still always there
Whenever I’d cry
He’d be the first to call
I thought it was great at first
But then every tyme I was happy
He found a way to ruin it
He lied to me
He said he couldn’t hurt me
But what is he doing now?
He’s tearing my heart into pieces
He said you’d hurt me
So I hid my heart
I need him out of my life
I need to learn to trust
You’re not the one hurting me,
He’s the one I can’t trust.
Is he holding on to something
That’s just not there anymore?
It took a couple years,
But I’ve moved on
Into someone else’s arms
And Baby, that someone is you.
He still warns me,
But I no longer heed them
I’ve learned to trust my heart,
As it brought me to you.
Every night I make a vow to myself
To love you for as long as I live
You and I made that same vow
To love each other forever
Almost 2 months ago,
I gave my heart to you
And now no one else
Can take me from you
They’ve tried to tear us apart
But we’ve grown strong
In the past 7 ½ weeks
So much stronger
Than I thought possible
We’ve been through more
In 7 ½ weeks than I've been through
With any other guy I’ve dated

~*~ Guilty Consence ~*~

I feel incredibly guilty
I was away from home
With someone I barely knew
He kissed my cheek
Then drug me onto
The dance floor
I thought I could keep quiet
But it’s killing me inside
My stomach is churning
Should I tell you
Or shall I hold it in?
He saw my tears
And made them stop
They stopped only
Because I didn’t want
Him to see my tears
I was only seeking
Company…nothing more.
He knew about you
He knows how much
I’m in love with you
And now I’m nervous-sick
About the whole situation
My hands are shaking
My head is spinning
I feel like I’m gonna faint
All cause I don’t wanna lose you
And I fear that I will
With all of this.

If you love someone dont put their name in a heart,
put their name in a circle, because a heart can be broken
but a circle is continious.

Wow...I really like both of these poems. The first one is so heartfelt...I hope you showed it to whoever it was written about, I bet they'd love it! and the second one is just as good... I know that confused guilty feeling a lil too well right now lol. Thanx for sharing these - you have a way with words.

2 poems that are very dif. from one another. A wonderful posts......you could have posted them seperately but that's ok.

For the first poem, I'm glad things are so good for you

, but then the second one kind of makes me think things aren't so good. Is that why you posted them together? just wondering. Anyway, I would just have to say that I believe in being honest. Sure, it hasn't gotten me very far, but it's still good

I posted these two together, because I finished the first one, and immediately continued onto the next. I was away on a trip, and I met a guy, and I only hung out with him because i was seeking company, but when he saw me cry, he wanted to help, so he drug me ontop the dance floor....Anyways, I asked the guy thats "Still holding on" for advice, and he got mad at me. so when I wrote them, they kind of tied into each other.
