I'll Always Love Thee

You cause me so much grief and pain,
yet I fight my heart, wholly in vain.
You've tied me up in your bitter-sweet trap,
my mind wonder aimlessly,
helpless without a map.
Is this all you truly wanted to gain?
You've left me now with the mark of Cain.
But no matter how thick the saddness runs over me,
in my heart of hearts I know I'll always love thee.
Perhaps, someday, I'll find my way, into that hidden place you hold deep inside.

yes my hope goes out to you and i see that you really do love her so just keep your head up and well enjoy the ride it will get better. and also loved your work.

This is a wonderful poem that I can relate to very well. I know what it's like to have someone rip you to shreds, and to still be able to love them. I wish you better luck in the future!

i agree with LOVEBUG on this...how you can still love someone after they broke your heart...its just hard to get over them...this poem is beautiful...
