Your life has just started, Your dreams have just begun, I can’t stay to destroy them, I can’t be the one. I didn’t see it in the beginning, I thought we’d make it through, If I could just hold on longer, We’d be fine, me and you. But things don’t always go to plan, And you’re back at the start again, So now I have to leave, Before I kill you with this pain. I hope you understand, As you grow and change and learn, I hope you know I love you, And you love me in turn. This is for the best I know, I am still young too, You’ll be better off without me, But I will always love you. **Parents don't understand it's their children they're hurting - even though they may not mean to** |

Oh how true this is...But parents do try to make life easier for their children, yet too often they are trying much too hard...I really enjoyed this poem...good luck in the future... ~Carly Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars. |

The pain that parents can cause can often be the most hurtful. If anyone knows this it's me. This was a very wonderful and well written poem. Keep it up. < !signature-->Love Always ~*~Jessica~*~ ~*~sMiLe! It MaKeS yOuR bUtT ShInE~*~ [This message has been edited by StarPryncess17 (edited 09-23-2000).] |

I thought the poem rocked. Yes parents can hurt their children dearly, yet so can children. I do not stick up for any side because, sure I am a child, but one day i'll be a parent. So anyway my view on this is bias. It can go either way and i cant stick up for either party. ![]() I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

Heya babe, Sorry bout the late reply…I got my braces (Hella annoying, let me tell you, miss perfect teeth hehe) on today… Yes, parents can be harmful in their benevolence (Or lack there of). I can’t speak for the masses, but I know if I ever had kids, I try the best I could to spare them the misery I faced at the hands of a cruel, unforgiving world. In-wishing-braces-sucked-less THERE IS NO SPOON! Spreading insanity, one post at a time Singing, "If i die before i wake..." |
