A menu of Your endless schemes The lost and lonely nights Ascend upon my shipwrecked heart As I swallow my last bite A buffet of your secrets Betrayal on the side Your lies well done At this table for one Is what my bill implies I've looked it over carefully My appetite is lost My head held high As I walk by.. Im designed..to cover the cost The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose...--Hada Bejar |

Great analogy Deb. Can we say, "been there". Yes, I guess we are designed to cover the cost. But its not fair. (Once again, you have expressed my feelings perfectly) Cat.. |

Violently good! (I'm having problems with superlatives today I'm afraid) I liked this VERY much. Reminded me of my father. Lotharingia "Dreams are life, reality, creation" Miguel de Unanumo |

Couldn't have said it better myself. I have been reading in here this afternoon and have been drawn to the sentiments I so rawly felt at the time I was going through ending my 17 year marriage. 15 years later, I have looked back at some of the writing I did then, and am so aware of the anger that was present. My worst days now are still beeter that my best days then. I enjoyed your piece immensely. Linda |
