The sky was blue, the sun shining ever so bright. The birds in their glory, a heavenly flight. The rainbows with all their shades and hews. It was mine for the taken, I had paid my dues. The peace I felt deep in my inner soul. The happiness, the joy, it was like I had finally climbed out of that dark hole. The smile on my face radiated warmth, like rays from the sun. Life was worth living, I could smell the roses, I was having fun. That is when the bottom feel out, The walls came crashing down. The hurt, the pain, the disappointment, The radio played, I heard no sound. My heart was broke, my joy was taken. All the anguish inside was awaken. I had lost the only one I ever truly loved in my life. It was taken its toil, weaken my strife. All my hopes and dreams were shattered into pieces on the floor. My future was uncertain, like someone had slammed the door. I am truly lost, unsure what to do, how to deal with this confusion. It all seems unreal, like a nightmare, an illusion. I am now questioning my self-worth, my reasons for living. My life has been less of taken and more of given. Having no one to share all I have to offer another. Its hard to breathe. I feel I may smother. Life has little meaning, no will, no desire. The flames have been extinguished, my soul no longer burns with fire. |

Well, that's life 4 ya' kid. Love is the same way too. It'll be tolerable for a while then it'll taste like moldy bread. But otherwise good work!    --the little one |

If you are going through this, I sympathize. Don't let it get to you too much, there will always be another to be with, its just hard to believe it sometimes. Nice poem, with a lot of emotion. Sandra |

How well I remember being in that place, and it does get better...I promise, heartfelt poem, very well written, Hope your doing ok |
