We can Talk the Talk Thats easy Heartfelt words expressing How we feel Yet to Walk the Walk A test of strength Can add to our appeal For in this world Each one of us Our intentions may ring true We can Talk the Talk But to Walk the Walk Is having more Than just a clue Is it our strategic minds Our gestures that enforce That impression made while travelling Along lifes novel course To obtain our goals Is to illustrate By actions, not by words For when we learn to Walk the Walk Its then that we are heard [This message has been edited by Deborah1 (edited 07-07-2000).] |

Well Deb, I am walking and walking, but still no one is hearing me. Nice theory though. Seriously, it was a great poem, nicely composed and worded. "If a man moves you to feel like a woman, the least you can do is let him." Merrit Malloy |

Brilliant, really good. Love it. Words come easy, actions don't. Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |

Wonderful Deborah, great work! How true it is...to quote Emerson: "What you do makes so much noise I cannot hear what you say" Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility. -William Wordsworth- |

It is all to easy to "talk the talk" and leave it at that. Well done! God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |

I thought of many poems using these words as I read your poem. They all fail to capture what you have captured here. Hardrock |
