It was sad while you were away I cried many nights unable to sleep I tried to reach you I tried to still love you the pain set in and withered away all my trust you never came home you never called my name then I got the courage to reach out my hand and ask for forgiveness to love you once agian but as I try to love you I find the things I never knew emotions hidden deep with in my soul pain heartache yearning for something you can't give me it just took too long to say the words and my heart slowly breaks because it knows i don't need you anymore. Isaiah 1:18 "Everyone loves a rose, will you be thankful for the thorns?" |

~Oh my,...you have brought tears to these eyes with this heartfelt poem. I can relate and you've done a wonderful job in this expression. Thank you for sharing this piece of you. Take care. *Peace. |

I too, loved this poem. Our relationship with our parents is so important, and it's so sad when it doesn't work out the way we would wish. Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |
