Not an exceptionally dark piece, but I thought I would post it here.

For The Broken Angel

Tattered wings, hanging low
Play your guitar for me, boy
Release those tears with
Rage and power
Strum the strings as your
Heart had been strung, but
Don’t break the tender music.

Cry for me, I know your pain
And as I mend your broken wings
I will listen with all my heart and
Every ear, and I cry beside
You , because I care.

Tarnished halo has a bit of shine
For no demon can destroy an angel
And you my friend are one of the rare
And tho’ your wings may be wilted
Your halo still shines.

And every dreamer knows, that to live
In the darkness that clings to us
Everyday, everyone, we must
Look for the Angel and take a hold
Of his halo

And hold on tight…

Oh my god this was really good for me. I call my b/f angel and he plays guitar and he always says he has broken wings but he will still try to be my angel. this poem just really made me think of him and it is a lot better then the poems i have written about him

I found this wonderful...reminds me of a poem I wrote a while ago which is the opposite called "tattooed angel".
