Tears

So fall my tears...
Heavy now with sorrow.
Dully, upon yearning, empty hands,
One by bitter one,
They fall.
Each a crashing wave
That beats impotently
Against the jagged rocks of Fate...
Tossing, spraying, breaking
Into a thousand times
A thousand more!
Falling at long last to rest
In stagnant pools
Within a broken heart.
So deep, so dark, so hushed
The waters rise,
That it shall seem but placid sleep
When the tired heart
Is stilled.

When the tired heart is stilled.... *sigh*
The beaten heart finds peace....
Beautiful my friends as always.....

Oh my! How a dark, painful piece as this can possess such a beauty! You crafted this one superbly, holding emotion in every line, and a delicate sense of, I can't find the right word... It is just so well done!

With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free..

I'd have to agree with everyone else, your poem was wonderfully written! How true is the line, "into a thousand times/A thousand more!"? Tears are the perfect imagery of sorrow.

Rex, a powerful poem, filled with such darkness yet still so beautiful.

It's in your eyes a fire that's wild and glorious
Unhibited, unfinished in everything I do Let the morning rise like our hearts desire" whipping boy
