My Grip loosens and the glass falls
I can do nothing to stop it, nor do I want to
It is quite amazing really, beautiful in fact
The perfect flips create a wonderful prismatic show
Right before it hits all is still
Then the first crack grows to many
Pieces scatter about as scared birds in the park
Then and only then do you realize
There is no piecing, nor fixing it
What was once truly unique … gone
Only in that moment’s window do you truly see
Only then can you be shown the value
The value of what once was and can never again be

There's a peace inside us all
Let it be your friend
It will help you carry on
In the end
There's a peace inside us all

Not only did I thouroughly enjoy the imagry and descriptions in your piece, but at the end your 'signature' is from creed who just happens to be my absolute favorite band!
But really.... I really did enjoy this... it is so true... things so unique... we can be careless with them for just a moment, and then one moment later, they are gone. Non fixable, never to be seen again in the same way by anybody... remaining infamous only in memories. Great job!! Oh, and thank you for sharing this one...

i know this has deep symbolism, but as far as just your descrption of the glass falling and breaking was amazing. mebe just because i'd never thought of it,the way it must happens, always happens so fast, you never think about the process, and thAt there actually is one. great poem.

Amazing!
Never would I have ever dreamed of describing something as normal and everyday as dropping a glass.  This is truely a wonderful work, an inspiration to us all to look for new material.  Great lesson.
