It comes from the inside
I cant run away from my shadow
Unless I become a child of the darkness
But even when all the light is gone
And I am all isolated and sealed
The clean mind dicentigrates
And now i am lost in a breeding ground for hate
The core of me expands leaving a hallow center
A never ending hole
A hole that takes anything pure and regurgitates
An equal and completely opposite negitive
And the motives that brought me to this point
Those motives have long since disolved like a piece
Of delicious candy in my mouth
Further irony to expand my hallow core
No one comes to visit anymore
I dont remember how to speak
And the faces I use to adore and whom
Of which promised to be here
Are with all of you now
I am the wretched

All I can say is WoW and Ouch.  This is powerful and touches the heart.

There's a peace inside us all
Let it be your friend
It will help you carry on
In the end
There's a peace inside us all

xEE...First off, let me say "Great Read"...very well done.  Secondly, it's not a matter of stupidity.  We all make choices, some good, some bad...but they are just choices.  Why we make them, good or bad, is a mystery, but all things happen for a reason.  The choice you face now is, what do you do about it?  For me, I just move on.  I look for other places, other situations to make other choices.....and I just hope for the best.  Few things in life are irreversible.  There's still a world out there just waiting for you:  Go live it.  Hardrock

Still haven't killed the cancer. Will we ever? Maybe someday.

Well anyway, excellent poem and all that stuff.

Wow. That was really deep... I loved it. Regurgitating all that is good and making it something completely opposite and furthermore equal... that just kicks me in the gut... I really feel this one. Wonderfully written!

"I am the wretched" great line.
Don't worry about the choices you've made, you can't change them but you can learn from them. I agree with Hardrock, move on with your life if you can. Writing helps.

Wow I liked this one a lot. I am going to have to echo everybody else.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!
