As I watch the rising moon it reminds me,
That our love has to travel a long, long way,
I think of the loving embrace we'd have,
If we ever met one day.

Your words and rhymes whisper softly to me,
Your songs and music dance through my soul,
Letting you know just how much you mean to me,
That is my Christmas wish and goal.

Heard your tape and only strengthened my resolve,
To show you how beloved to me you've become,
How much I wish to really share with you,
And within your absence I feel my world come undone.

Though on the physical plain you are alone,
You are never alone in mind, soul or spirit,
And as I listen for those soft words on the wind,
Now it's my turn to ask 'Honey can you hear it?'

Can you hear my words of comfort and understanding,
The whispered words I send your way?
The rising full moon my amplifier,
Sending my voice, heart and words each day.

Listen for it in the lyrics of my songs,
Listen for it as the moon rises over the sea,
Listen hard, surely you can hear it?
The words, "I know my heart." coming from me.

So on Christmas Eve and then Christmas night,
When you wonder what the future holds for you,
When you feel that first glimmer of fear,
Call my name and I will be there.

Merry Christmas John
