I'm falling out of love today
"That's impossible!" you might say?
Real as the ice pumping through my veins
and frozen tears wielding crimson stains
Rivulets of you seep from my skin
A precious numbing ache begins
Withering under December frost
Fragile blooms did try, yet lost
But wait! Real love would never leave
Only in fairy tales some believe
Not in this world of glacial rime
Whose edges sever time after time
Til all that remains is a pathetic wish
Crushed by inclement fingertips
No more to hurt, No more to plead
You've brought me to my frozen knees
Where frigid lips can somehow say,
I'm falling out of love today..

Sheila

*I borrowed the title from Stevie Ray Vaughn.. but it seemed an apt one.

Ohhhhhhhhhh Sheila, this was excellent! So well put and it flowed so beautifully.  And yeah I know falling outta love can happen.  Too much pain and sorrow can really put a damper on things.

Great expressions here,
Mags

I like the frozen, cold essence of this piece, puts a chilly feel to it.
Well done.
