Days of wonder days of lust
In his write he gifts to us
Love's sacrament his caring trust
To uphold passion's name

This poet writes with sharpest blade
Will not hesitate to call a spade a spade
With head held high and unafraid
His poetry holds no shame

He the man who never was
Living life with just because
Upholding justice in his cause
For us he'll bear the blame

This good man willing to fight
For his country and the right
His zestful passion gives poetry flight
No one his heart will tame

He speaks of women, wine and song
To show lust of life we lost along
The way, constant and strong
Hardrock his claim to fame

Hardrock by name and nature
A man in deed and passion's stature
He'll love to death if he can catch her
Blessed be his wondrous name

"Days of wonder days of lust"......

Interesting line....hmmmmmmm...
seems I have heard that somewhere before ringing aloud myself (hardrock alone knows)???!?!

Nice tribute to a fellow poet who wooooooe's us allllll with his MAGIC poetic charm!  I  am sure he is elated that his talents are recognized, and rightfully so!  Thanks for the read, I enjoyed it.

Another wonderful portrayl hon.  Such imagery, you make us all sound so wonderful.
As for Hardrock a wonderful poet with guts and strong beliefs, couldn't have said it better myself.  Well done..

Very well written piece here.  Gotta luv anything that has Hardrock in it    A tribute to a man that does so much for all of us without evening realizing it.  Personally speaking... he has made me laugh and cry within minutes of each other with his poems.  He has been there for my lil "*****" emails when I need to vent! So thanx Marv, you are one in a million!

Awwww, Kethry....ALL you folks here are so wonderful (really blushing here!)  But it's a two-way street we live on....I just try to return all the love and warmth each of you give in your words here and the one-on-one relationships I share with so many.  Each poem you post, each e-mail, each card is someone reaching out, sharing, opening their heart just a little.  I accept all and I find acceptance here.  As the song says, "We are family".  Merry Christmas to you all.  My love to you and yours through the holidays.  Hardrock

Loved it.

Ditto.. ditto.. and ditto! I'm sorry I can't add anything unique. What a special tribute to a special man.
