ache clings here, methodically, to alabaster sheets. where comfort has been sowed, and grows, when sorrow thins to hazy vapor. your skin begs on my knee, protesting barriers of my best intentions. i will speak mechanically, denying pain streaked over collar bones and hitching limbs. sobs shake off my shoulders, fall rickety to your feet. the palm pressed to my forehead curves like open ribs in a bird's breast. you sigh inside the tender chest that offers light respite, a chance at rest, from grief stowed charily away to protect what promises we have hitherto. the white lines over cheeks bloomed heavy, return in your every gaze. tears that you claim graciously -- with strokes of hands splayed soft -- cannot name you righteously. i will not speak of identities, despite the evidence of loss. bitter tang of shame will coat the tongue of my iniquity. when, greedy, it has sucked from fingertips, sweetness meant to balm my grief. you calm the agony of my bright recall, implore for freedom in my heart. eyes polished with care, desire to burn my walls, to empty out my soul and bathe in the present misery that I keep. but I am years behind in my head. |

The words you use here seem to out of this world. I loved this piece. Ronil (The sweet sound of summer sends serenity through my soul searching for that evermore solitude.) |
