we haven't seen a poet recognised for some time
not that we don't have the talent
and not as if we haven't helped
it's just we have been together again
I can't write, speak, or understand anything written in Hebrew
I can't write, speak, or understand anything in American Indian
I can't write, speak or understand ancient blocks of clay
but as an Irishman living in the U.S. I've learned to say
" I was born here, yet it's not my land. I am here, and I feel I'm home."
African/Jamaican/Whitebread [profanity edited] have ruined my rented home. They fight so very often over what little  pieces  we leave them.
I am personally so sick of hearing how any other race other than the AMERICAN INDIAN is so oppressed because even as an Irishman, at least my LONG-
DEAD family got to be slaves, at least the Africans got to be slaves, at least the Chinamen got to be slaves. The American Indian (that is what we called them...) were systematically destroyed, robbed of their land, cheated, and forced onto desolate areas of earth we (as modern people) couldn't stand a chance of surviving.
where are our poets
where our eyes
where, just where, does the spirit lie

J - As in your other post 'looking for a date', I have elected to edit out the profanity. The reason is primarily because we have many young readers here - some under 12...we have to respect that many parents wouldn't want their children reading such. Thankyou.

Severn.

but it is the pilgrim who is truly hungry in a dry, parched land....
