SICK SAD WORLD! Ever since very young, we've always been told, to love ourselves outside & in, & to break away from life's mold. But then we're given Barbie, & passed over the remote. Toys & shows, that just continue to promote. How can we be loved within, if our world's about the out? Our self esteem destroyed, weighed down by bricks of doubt. So silicon is put into place, & cellulite removed. Make-up & touch-ups here & there. Soceity's been proved. Hours of prepping & primping, to lokk perfect, for what? Acception, Appreciation, or just a second look? How can we change these ways, without eliminating men? Appreciate inside & outside for good! Make-over Barbie & Ken!!  LOVE ELMO <3 |

I really like this poem! Just being the person you were meant to be in God's eyes is enough. We all have a special something that sets us apart from others. I like the spirit of your poem, yes poor Barbie and Ken, they are only dolls, they have a problem, and we do to if we think we have to look like them, to be healthy and happy should be our goal. You definitely have a talent for writing poetry. Keep writing! |

" Hours of prepping & primping, to lokk perfect, for what? " I like that line a lot. Society seems to give men and women so much to look forward to. BUt peel back the layers, and there's nothing there. Poeple no longer have faith in something more, or something spiritual. It's all about having pleasure now, and having sex with everyone you meet. |

This was quite good, and I do agree with many of the sentiments. Such a shame really, how many of todays children are lost, for want of their own self esteem and self realization, for creativity and individuality. Good job! -Shira |

Yea thanx shira--it is a lot worse today--with eating disorders to depression--kids need to know that its better to be loved inside more than outside LOVE ELMO <3 |
