OK. Here I'm trying to impersonate the style of paradelle. It doesn't exactly follow the form tho, because I'm using previous words more than once. I will refine this poem soon, tho, and then post it again, either here or else at Critical Analysis The man walks his dog The man walks his dog Upon the sidewalk and through his thoughts Upon the sidewalk and through his thoughts The man walks, his dog walks Through his thoughts, and upon the sidewalk. The dog snuffles the grass The dog snuffles the grass The man treads on pavement The man treads on pavement The dog snuffles the pavement The man on grass treads. The man is creating ideas The man is creating ideas The dog walks, as the man harvests his ideas The dog walks, as the man harvests his ideas The dog harvests as the man walks. Man is creating his ideas. The dog walks, as the man treads through his thoughts. As the man snuffles grass, harvesting ideas, The dog walks, and the man snuffles pavement and walks upon the treads. The dog is creating ideas, the man is on grass, the sidewalk harvests The man, his thoughts, his ideas, and his Dog. The man is pavement, the dog is treads, and the ideas are grass. You will have to teach me what a paradelle is, but after trying to figure out what the poem was saying, I think I caught on with the last verse. I like the last verse a lot and can see how it formed. With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free.. dragonpoe |

Paradelle is this type of poem where you have 3 sestets. They each contain 2 sets of repeated lines. Then for the 2 lines, you combine the words used in the last 4 lines. Then you end it with a fourth sestet. THis sestet combines all words used in the previous 3 sestets. However, I did not stay faithful to the form, because I used words from previous lines and stanzas, more than once in many places. |
