Moderator of the night
Who's writ o'erflows with justice…right
And stirring words to still the fright
Enclosed, intrepid fawn

Her faithfulness can …to life sway
With her gentle namaste
Encouragement along the way
Mistress of the morn

Encouragement is all she does
Softly, serenely with no fuss
To gift new hope to all of us
Friend to those forlorn

With no thought to her own shoes
And how she's putting off those blues
She creates a higher muse
Comforts all folk forsworn

Gentle loving always kind
Reflected through her peaceful mind
Keeps the world from deaf and blind
Lifts up those new torn

Mistress of serenity
Gifting peace to you and me
Balanced and with harmony

Nice imagery. I have a question though, in two places you have gift and gifting where it could/should read give and giving. Was that intention or just a typo? Asking cause it gave me pause as I was reading.
Other than that, I enjoyed this.

dragonpoe,

thanks for responding.

In answer to your question, No in this instance I meant gift and gifting because they seemed to be gentler words.

Be well
Kethry.

This is really nice Kethry...hey - I've used gift and gifting myself in the same kind of context. Not only are they gentler words, but also - gentler in concept.

Isis will love it!

I absolutely loved this piece of work Kethry, I love your work. I also enjoyed "suicide note" to the extreme. I am only 15, and I'm in a creative writing class in school. We're making a book and it consists of poems and short stories and such stuff like that. i was wondering if it would be alright with you to publish your poem into that book. It's not a local, state or nationally published book, just within the people of our class room receive copies, but with your permission of entering your poem into this book, I would be more than happy to order a book for yourself. Please let me know. My e-mail is DarkAngel047@hotmail.com.
